The company
Hukilau was founded in 2010 as a digital publisher with the aim of building a portfolio spanning many different media, including multimedia and transmedia products. In the initial phase, we're focusing on establishing our catalog of e-books, but we are also working towards expanding into audiobooks, digital comics, music, film, and games, and are keen to hear from content creators in any medium. In mid-2011 we began offering services to authors and publishers who simply want to convert their existing books to e-books. We believe in using technology to sidestep traditional business methods. This applies not just to the market we're in, but in the way we do business. Hukilau is wholly Internet-based, with team members based throughout the United States, This allows us to be as flexible as possible and keep our costs down. We pride ourselves on offering a high quality service that is fast, competitive, and above all, in the best interests of content creators. All Hukilau team members are published writers who have also created work professionally for several different media, and are highly experienced in technology, social media and marketing as well as all aspects of both publishing and editing.
