Publishing

For independent authors:

Hukilau will publish your e-book and secure distribution through retailers such as Amazon (Kindle) and Barnes & Noble (Nook). We provide a full editorial and conversion service with a very competitive royalty rate.

We welcome submissions from both new and established authors writing in all genres of both fiction and non-fiction, (except erotica), particularly unusual items aimed at niche audiences.

We will consider work that is deemed too short or too long for traditional print, or work that has already been published in print. In addition to e-books, we also carry comics and graphic novels, audiobooks, and transmedia works.

Starting from your digital manuscript, we will:

- edit your manuscript
- create the cover
- create the e-book in multiple formats
- select a price point for each territory
- place your book with distributors & retailers
- promote your book via social media and other online services

Payment terms

You will receive 50% of net revenues.

Note that you will retain print rights, and rights to any translations of your work.
